Week 2 Focus Question – Peugeot Design

What would happen to the Peugeot car designs if the company was acquired by Holden?

If Peugeot was acquired by Holden than the stylistic code that Peugeot possesses would change entirely, this includes the engine inside of the car and the features that the automobile contains. The power of the engine and the environment would change significantly because the Holden is more powerful and its engines waste fuel quickly while the Peugeot runs on cylinders which is more environmentally aware and efficient. The Peugeot’s design is more stylistic than muscular than the Holden so the Peugeot would attract more men. The Holden possesses a different shape and looks different compared to the Peugeot because the Peugeot is a luxury car while the Holden is a sports car. If Peugeot was acquired by Holden it would be a whole new ball game.

What do drivers need in a car for 21st century?

In 21st century cars, drivers need many things to suit their necessities in the perfect automobile. The right design, it needs to be fast and must have the technology to get them around. I think the musts in a car should be:

• GPS: for navigation
• Solar Panels: on the roof instead of damaging our natural environment
• A sleek design: which attracts others to purchase the automobile. 

Reflection Questions

Q1. Identify two new skills that you have aquired in completing project one.

The skills I have aquired during project one include:

• Time management: Which helps me organise my time wisely and help me complete the work in the duration of the project.
• Using different technology: This helps me by getting an understanding about the different types of technology used in PBL to help me complete my project such as Web 2.0

Q2. Describe how effectively your group has worked in project one.

In project one I worked in a group of four. This group consisted of Jadd Abdallah, Nick Sader, James Katsetis and myself (Joshua Elagha). This group was very multi talented and we all had some sort of knowledge towards religion. Jadd Abdallah helped out with the Powerpoint and creating it while Nick Sader also helped him out and edited the powerpoint. James Katsetis attended the tutorials during class and organised our group meetings to help us out in the time management department. While I created the certificate and helped with the final organisation stages of the powerpoint presentation.

Q3. Explain how learning the Marist Charism has impacted your understanding of what it means to be an IPOF.

Learning the Marist Charisms has impacted the way I think about being an Inspiring Person of Faith by giving me more characteristics to choose from such as:

• A sense of family
• Simplicity
• A love of work
• Presence
• Devotion to Mary the Virgin Mother

Knowing these five Marist Charisms has helped me a lot in my project to know who my group and I should choose from in the preparation of the task. It gives me a better understanding of who represents Marist Charism and who doesn’t. Having these five Marist Charisms helps a person in life and the understanding of what it means to be inspiring towards not only yourself but towards others around you.

Q4. Discuss the benefits of producing work that contains multiple data types.

The benefits of producing work that contains multiple data types are as such:

• Multiple data types being used interests the audience more than just having text to read off.
• Having data types such as Hyperlinks, audio, videos and images etc. explains your presentation more and gets the message across easier than just having text.
• Multiple types of data makes the class have more fun than usual

What if there were no inspiring people?

If there were no inspiring people in the word, then everyone would have equal rights. We would not all have our different opinion and there would be no one that could think outside the box to change people’s opinions. For those weaker in the world they would have no one that could stand up for them and speak on their behalf to the people. If there were no inspiring people it would impact the world greatly.

 

What makes a person evil? What if inspiring people were evil?

Evil is a term used to indicate a negative moral or ethical judgment, often used to describe intentional acts that are cruel or selfish. If inspiring people were evil, it would not necessarily be a bad thing. Hitler was evil and the world sees him as an inspiring person even though his acts were unjust. As long as the person is inspiring then there is no matter with them being evil or good, as long as they show the characteristics an inspiring person should have.

 

What would happen if Jesus was Australia’s Prime Minister?

If this phenomenon happened, then not only Australia would change but also the world. Jesus’ impact would be absolutely crazy. Australia’s population would rise and people would want to see him all the time. He wouldn’t get a rest, although some people who live in Australia with different religions would not be pleased by this change of plans. Obviously things would change in a good and bad way, but hey Jesus as the prime minister sounds pretty cool.

 

What if we knew the impact of every action we took?

If we did know the impact on every action we took, this world would change in an amazing way. Things would be so much easier and peaceful. In every day to day life there is gossip and if we all thought about what we said or did before we did it this world would be much better for everyone. Some of us do things where we wish we can just turn back the hands of time and do it all again, but if we all thought about what we did before we did it then the world would be such a better place for all to live in with less violence.

 

How would the world change if the values of Champagnat were law?

Well, if this happened then that would be amazing, the world would be so much less violent and the acts and ways of people would change in a dramatically different way. Everyone would be more loving and kind and weary towards others. Racism would not be a factor because we would all be treated with equality. The brothers of Marist follow Champagnat’s law and they are absolutely magnificent. If we were all like them this world would be a much better place.

Sacramental Journal

 

1. Define the term ‘Sacramental’.

Being sacramental can be many of things. Mainly it is being a good spirited person who cares for others before themselves. It is being an inspiring person to others. Certain characteristics are needed to become sacramental and it is not easy. It is not being nice, it is having the mind set to be nice and to care for others who need caring for.

 

 

2. For one of the following inspiring people of faith, describe examples of how they complete the following:

Make God’s presence visible to other people.

Witness to the new life of the risen Christ (grace).

Help us to grow closer to god and to others.

Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Pope John-Paul, Nelson Mandela, Eric Lidell, Catherine Hamlin, William Booth

Mother Theresa made God’s presence visible to others by expressing her way to people in everyday life, by caring and sharing her love to all peoples of every heritage. She cared for others before herself and especially the children. She put herself out there so others can have a home or a shelter before she had any of those things herself. This is the way God would want all of us to act.

She made herself witness to the new life of the living christ by acting the way he did before and after his death. She never gave up in her struggle to help others and give them what they needed which was a good, happy and fulfilling life for all. She showed her love for everyone as Jesus and God did.

She helped all people grow closer to God by showing what God could do for all of us. People looked up to her and thought very big of her, she was a courageous lady who gave up her life for others and helped them through their struggles which is what God had done for us.

Mr Carr is always making Gods presence shown by modivating us to be more like Marcellin, and ruuning programs being lead by Youth members For our benefits, he is always there when you need him and will always listen to your opinion no matter who you are and take it into gratitude.

Mr Carr is a leader and a great educator and inspires me to do better in my ways and to be more like God himself, He gives up help when we’re in need and always cares for us and what we say.

Mr Carr helps us to grow closer to God By spreading God’s word and always Making his presence acknowledged in our town and community. He will always use examples and teachings from the Bible and relate them into daily troubles to help us with problems. He teaches us morals with give us advice and help us.
